In the style of Luis Royo. Full body long view, visible tattoos. Ilyara Thess is a disgraced Veiled oracle-in-training, exiled from her monastery for seeing true things at the wrong moments, now trading on a fading noble name and an unmasked honesty about other people's feelings that she can't extend to her own. Slender and unnervingly graceful, taller than a human by half a head, with the elongated limbs and long, tapering fingers typical of the Veiled. Her half-mask is old ivory-white lacquer, cracked at one edge and never replaced, hiding a face that would otherwise betray every feeling she's ever had at once. What skin shows — throat, collarbone, hands — is pale gold and faintly luminous in low light, threaded here and there with hairline patterns that shift, almost imperceptibly, when she's lying to herself. She dresses in faded but still-fine noble mourning colours, black and tarnished gold, like someone still in half-hearted grief for a house that isn't dead yet.
