The sad harvest of jurga

In the late 19th century Lithuania, a young Lithuanian peasant girl named Jurga wandered into the dark, dense woods near her village. Dressed in poor yet traditional peasant clothes, she wore a simple headscarf and leather sandals as she went about her daily task of gathering mushrooms. Her light blonde hair cascaded down her back in waves, and her wide blue eyes reflected the sorrow that lingered in her heart. As she lay on her side, she carefully picked mushrooms with trembling hands, her high cheekbones and upturned nose adding to her delicate features. Unaware of the world around her, she seemed oblivious to the rips in her clothing or the fact that her mini skirt revealed more than it hid. The basket beside her was filled with the fruits of her labor, but her spirit was heavy with a sadness that no amount of mushrooms could lift.
