A lonely labor

Kimberly Ann Possible, a young mother-to-be, is in her ninth month of pregnancy. Despite her excitement, she’s been experiencing intense contractions that have grown increasingly stronger and more frequent. The once-soon-to-be-comfortable pregnancy has turned into a nightmarish experience as she leaks amniotic fluid, soaking her bedsheets and leaving them stained. As another contraction rocks her body, she doubles over in pain, vomiting onto the floor. Her legs betray her, giving out under the strain, and she collapses into a puddle of her own fluids. Now, she lies helplessly on the cold floor, her skin glistening with sweat and amniotic fluid, her scream for help echoing unanswered through the empty house.
